Pro Clima Supplier NSW

Supplying Pro Clima Across New South Wales

Scholten Group is the Pro Clima partner and wholesale distributor for New South Wales. We supply hardware stores and trade merchants from our warehouse at Pearces Creek in the Northern Rivers.

New South Wales is a harder state to supply than it looks. It spans four climate zones with genuinely different condensation requirements, from the humid subtropical north through temperate coastal country to the cold Central West and alpine south. A membrane specification that works in Ballina is not necessarily right in Bathurst, and the code treats them differently.

That is part of why we supply through local stores rather than shipping from a central warehouse. A merchant in Orange knows what his builders are dealing with in July.

Stock and Delivery from Pearces Creek

Pearces Creek is where the business started and where most of our stock sits. From there we deliver north to the Queensland border, south along the coast, and west through the Central Tablelands.

Delivery to Northern Rivers stockists is generally next business day. Mid North Coast and Central West runs take longer and depend on the freight route, and we will give you a real timeframe for your location rather than a general promise.

For stockists near the Queensland border, we can supply from either Pearces Creek or Brisbane depending on what is faster.

Pro Clima and NCC Compliance in NSW

New South Wales covers ABCB climate zones 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7, and the condensation management requirements differ across them.

In zones 4 and 5, which cover much of inland and southern New South Wales, a pliable building membrane in an external wall of a Class 1, 2 or 4 building must be Class 3 or Class 4 vapour permeable.

In zones 6 and 7, covering the cold Central West and alpine areas, it must be Class 4.

In zone 2, which covers the Northern Rivers and the north coast, the deemed-to-satisfy provisions are different again, because in humid subtropical climates the vapour drive often runs inward rather than outward. A membrane and cavity strategy designed for Bathurst can work against you in Ballina.

If you are specifying across multiple zones, or building somewhere on a zone boundary, it is worth reading the detail.

Training Across NSW

We run training days for builders and trades across the state, and product training for retail staff at stockist stores.

Recent sessions include a two-part training day at Bangalow A&I Hall in the Northern Rivers, run with Pro Clima’s technical engineer, covering theory and hands-on WRB installation.

Questions About Pro Clima Supply in NSW

Do you supply Sydney?

Pro Clima Australia has a partner covering the Sydney metropolitan area. We are based in the Northern Rivers and focus on northern and regional New South Wales. If you are in Sydney, the Pro Clima Australia partner listing will point you to the right contact.

How far west do you deliver?

We currently supply stockists through the Central West, including Bathurst, Orange and Mudgee. Further west is possible depending on freight. Ask us.

What is the difference between climate zone requirements in NSW?

Zones 4 and 5 require Class 3 or Class 4 vapour permeable membranes in external walls. Zones 6 and 7 require Class 4. Zone 2 on the north coast is treated separately, and the design approach differs because of the humidity.

Can I buy directly if I am a builder in NSW?

No. We supply stockists, and our directory will find the closest one to your job.

Do you supply commercial projects?

We supply the merchants who supply commercial builders. The products are used across Class 1, 2 and 4 buildings, and the NCC condensation provisions apply to residential classifications specifically.
