Pro Clima Supplier NSW

Supplying Pro Clima Across New South Wales

Scholten Group is a Pro Clima Partner and distributor supplying hardware stores and trade merchants across northern and regional New South Wales from our base at Pearces Creek in the Northern Rivers.

The regions we supply include very different building climates. The Northern Rivers and much of the Mid North Coast sit in warm humid climate zone 2, while inland areas include zone 4 locations such as Dubbo and cooler zone 7 locations such as Bathurst and Orange.

That means building envelope design should respond to the climate and the complete wall or roof assembly rather than assuming the same approach will suit every project.

Stock and Delivery from Pearces Creek

Pearces Creek is where Scholten Group started and remains our primary base for New South Wales supply.

From there we deliver north to the Queensland border, south along the coast and west into the Central West.

Northern Rivers stockists generally receive product the next business day. Delivery further south or west depends on location, freight route and order size, so we provide realistic timeframes for each order.

For stockists near the Queensland border, supply may also come from Brisbane where that provides the better option.

Regions We Supply

Northern Rivers

Our home region, supplied from Pearces Creek between Ballina and Lismore. Where Scholten Group started as builders and where we still run regular training.

Mid North Coast

Supplying stockists from Grafton down through Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Port Macquarie and Taree, with a direct regional supply route from northern NSW.

Central West NSW

Supplying Bathurst, Orange, Mudgee, Dubbo, Cowra and surrounding areas, where cooler climate zones bring different NCC membrane requirements.

We also supply stockists beyond these core regions. If you operate a hardware store, timber yard or trade merchant elsewhere in regional New South Wales and are interested in Pro Clima, talk to us.

Building Envelope Requirements Across NSW Climate Zones

The NCC condensation management provisions recognise that moisture risk changes with climate.

Under the NCC 2022 Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions, relevant materials installed on the exterior side of the primary insulation layer of an external wall must achieve minimum vapour permeance requirements in climate zones 4 to 8.

In climate zones 4 and 5, the minimum corresponds to a Class 3 vapour permeable membrane. In climate zones 6, 7 and 8, the minimum corresponds to Class 4.

There is no equivalent minimum vapour permeance requirement under these provisions for climate zones 1 to 3.

That makes location important. A project in Ballina is dealing with different climatic conditions to a project in Bathurst, even though both are in New South Wales.

Membrane selection is only one part of condensation management. Airtightness, insulation, ventilation, cladding, cavities, indoor humidity and the drying potential of the complete assembly all need to be considered together.

Training Across NSW

We run training for builders, trades and merchant teams across New South Wales.

Sessions combine building science with hands-on product installation, often alongside Pro Clima technical specialists.

Recent Northern Rivers sessions have included theory around building envelope performance and condensation followed by practical weather resistive barrier installation.

FAQs

Pro Clima Australia has other partner representation in the Sydney metropolitan market. Scholten Group is based in the Northern Rivers and focuses primarily on northern and regional New South Wales.

If you are in Sydney, check the Pro Clima Australia partner network for the appropriate local supplier.

We currently supply stockists throughout the Central West, including Bathurst, Orange and Mudgee. Supply further west may also be possible depending on location and freight. Talk to us about your area.

Under the NCC 2022 Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions, relevant external wall layers in zones 4 and 5 require at least Class 3 equivalent vapour permeance, while zones 6, 7 and 8 require Class 4.

Warmer climate zones are treated differently, and the appropriate building envelope strategy should consider the climate and complete assembly rather than membrane class alone.

We supply Pro Clima through our stockist network. Use our directory to find the closest supplier to your project.

Pro Clima systems are used across residential, multi-residential and commercial construction.

The relevant NCC requirements and appropriate building envelope strategy depend on the building classification, climate and assembly, so project-specific requirements should always be checked.
