Do I need a vapour permeable membrane here?
Like most of coastal South East Queensland, the Sunshine Coast sits in climate zone 2, so the minimum vapour permeance requirements the NCC 2022 Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions apply in zones 4 to 8 do not have an equivalent here.
The appropriate membrane and moisture management strategy still depends on the complete building assembly and its exposure.
