Product for the Sunshine Coast ships from our Brisbane warehouse. For most of the coast that is a next business day delivery, and a straightforward run up the highway rather than a freight consignment from another state.
We hold the core range in Brisbane: wall and roof membranes, internal air barriers, sealing tapes, window connection strips, primers and grommets. If you need something we do not hold, ask and we will find out whether we can get it.

Building for a Humid Subtropical Climate
The Sunshine Coast is ABCB climate zone 2, and the envelope considerations are the same ones that apply across South East Queensland, with the coastal exposure question layered on top.
Vapour drive runs inward for much of the year. Hot humid outside, cooler and drier inside if the building is air conditioned. Moisture moves in toward the conditioned space, and the surface it can condense on is the back of the wall lining. Specifications copied from southern projects frequently get this backwards, and an internal vapour barrier that makes sense in Victoria can trap moisture here.
Ventilated cavities do a lot of work. They let the assembly dry in both directions and handle the wind-driven rain that comes with the summer storm season.
Coastal exposure raises the stakes on junctions. Horizontal rain finds cladding joints, and salt air degrades fixings. Sealed junctions outperform mechanically fixed ones near the beach.

Climate zone 2 is treated differently under the NCC deemed-to-satisfy provisions than the cooler zones. Condensation risk is real regardless, and the design approach needs to account for inward vapour drive.
